• Entry Application: Dreamstime does not require entry application of new contributors, photos are reviewed when uploaded. Also, there is no entry test. These facts make Dreamstime one of most suitable microstock agencies for beginners. Direct link to Sign-Up Page.
• Exclusivity: Like Fotolia - full exclusivity is not attractive and is rarely used. SS has higher revenue potential and iStock has, despite of recent changes in royalties, more attractive program for exclusive contributors. Be fully exclusive with Dreamstime is the best choice only for a small group of contributors which have historical experience that sales on Dreamstime are higher than elsewhere. Dreamstime also offers partial exclusivity for single products, which is, contrary to full exclusivity, a preferred choice for many contributors as it does not restrict contributors from selling other products with different agencies.
• Supported Products: Dreamstime distributes photos, illustrations and vectors. Selling videos is not supported.
• Editorial: Yes, it is possible to sell editorial stock (without model or property release) at Dreamstime.
• Royalties: Non-exclusive contributor gets 20%-45% from the sale price with percentage being driven also by popularity (number of downloads) of the product. The range raises to 22.0%-45.5% of the sale price in case of exclusive products, or to 60% of the sale price in case of exclusive contributor respectively. Exclusive contributors also receive an additional bonus of $0.20 for each approved submission. Royalties amount to 0.35-1.05 USD if the purchase is realized within a subscription plan, or to 0.42-1.26 USD in case of exclusive products. It should be noted that utilization of credits is not limited to 1 year from the date of purchase and it is common that older credits (bought under different conditions) are used for the purchase. • Payout: Minimal payout level is 100 USD.
• Payout Methods: PayPal, MoneyBookers or paper checks. Prepaid Dreamstime MasterCard issued by Payoneer is an option too.
• Photos: Minimal acceptable resolution of photos is 3.0 MP, highest acceptable resolution is 70 MP.
• Vectors: It is specific (and strange) on Dreamstime that vectors represent only additional format to a JPG file (=vector preview). Both JPG file and vector file are being reviewed separately and not in one moment. Therefore, JPG preview must truly reflect related vector file and no comments (for example that vector includes more colors, etc.) are acceptable. Dreamstime has no size limit for vectors.
• Vector Preview: As mentioned above, vector previews are always a separate JPG file for Dreamstime. Therefore, these previews must meet all criteria set for photos, including size and resolution.
• Keywords: Upper limit for number of keywords is 80, which is highest figure among top microstock agencies.
• Database: Dreamtime’s database exceeded 13 million products in early 2012, with 4.5 million of registered users and 130 th. contributors. 
• Forms Of Upload: Dreamstime offers upload via HTTP or FTP interfaces.
• Referral Program: Dreamstime offers referral program for both referred clients (buyers) and referred contributors. Within a period of 3 years since registration you can get 10% of all purchases of buyers or 10% of sales of contributors. Dreamstime also pays 5 USD for a banner on own webpage.
• Upload Limit: Dreamstime has limit for number of submissions that can be submitted within a certain time frame. Limit depends on approval percentage - daily limit rises with higher approval percentage. It should be noted that upload limit is subject of often changes by Dreamstime.
• Currency: US dollar is basic currency for Dreamstime and payout in different currency is not possible.
